Biography Section

Biography and Education

Christy Youens earned a BS in Nutrition Science from Texas A&M University and a MS in Nutrition Science from Texas Woman's University. She has been a Registered Dietitian since 2004. She worked as an inpatient clinical dietitian, in outpatient diabetes, as a school food broker, as the Nutrition Coordinator for Frisco ISD, and has done private practice work for many years. She co-founded a non-profit organization, the Fig Tree Outreach Program, in 2015. She has been teaching at Texas State University since 2011 and has been the Dietetic Internship Director and is now the Didactic Program Director.

Teaching Interests

Christy Youens enjoys teaching Medical Nutrition Therapy, Nutrition Counseling and Education and Nutrition in the Lifespan.
